We Can Make Differences

           

           Changes in some things are visibly seen by its physical changes. It so happen that we are trapped in this typical world where changes are likely to happen and change in the heart of a person is rare.

            Let’s start from the bottom which is me, myself. I am proud to say that I’m very much satisfied to what God has given me with my physical features. For God doesn’t have the time to make mistakes and I am born the best way He thinks. But when it comes to personality, I just want to bring out the real me. I just want to be that person who can make changes not only in our society but in the world. Well, I guess that is not so easy to do but I believe that I can start in my own little ways.

            As a student, I can do many things already that can make changes in our school and community. I have learned to fight for my rights. I am not afraid to what I am doing if it is the right thing to do. There is nothing to be ashamed of doing things which we think is right. I have done my all to prove myself. I have already experienced many things and applied them to get on top. But, I do accept that some people are really much better than me. I believe that the most important thing is that I have done my best.

            For our country, I can do things also. Joining national projects is just one way to help the country. Each thing we do have a cause and one is to help make the change for the better. As a citizen, I can do change also by having discipline in myself and by obeying all the laws of the republic.

            I do believe in the saying that actions speak louder than words. So I will do my best to do what has been written to this article I have done to prove that not only I can make differences but all of us. Those are just some differences I can do by myself and if we are to work together as a team, the more differences and changes we can do for progress. Let us all bear in mind that changes starts on us.

Equality Please!

           It is a fact indeed that men are physically stronger than those of women but can we say that one is really better than the other? Many years ago, women are being ruled by men but as time goes by, women learned how to pushed for equality within the sexes and finally proved there abilities and skills in man’s field. But still, argumentations arise because of that discrimination in our society.

Well, both men and women have equal rights to everything, God created them at the same time but are different in small ways and doesn’t mean that man is much powerful than women. Having equal rights should also have equal opportunities that should be enjoyed by everybody. Fairness is what women are craving for.

            Discrimination in our society should and must be one of the main concerns of our powerful leaders which should be acted upon. As a result of this problem, the Philippines never move higher for the economic progress for they believe that men do really work much better than women and this belief is very wrong.

            It is never too late to fight for our rights and to prove others wrong. To work together as one, disregard the belief that men are better than women. Let us all open our minds in the reality that both are given equal rights and should also be given equal opportunities to achieve progress together so that Philippines will never be at the bottom.

            We must not continue to this kind of faith we have for nothing will happen if equal rights and equal opportunities are given to both men and women of the country. Soon enough, progress will conquer the whole Philippines but also in humanity.

            Equal rights and equal opportunities be given to have progress for all!

Climate Change

Global Warming or Climate Change, measurable increases in the average temperature of Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and landmasses. Scientists believe Earth is currently facing a period of rapid warming brought on by rising levels of heat-trapping gases, known as greenhouse gases, in the atmosphere.

Earth has warmed and cooled many times since its formation about 4.6 billion years ago. Global climate changes were due to many factors, including massive volcanic eruptions, which increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere; changes in the intensity of energy emitted by the Sun; and variations in Earth’s position relative to the Sun, both in its orbit and in the inclination of its spin axis.

Scientists project global warming to continue at a rate that is unprecedented in hundreds of thousands or even millions of years of Earth’s history. They predict considerably more warming in the 21st century, depending on the level of future greenhouse gas emissions. For a scenario (possible situation) assuming higher emissions—in which emissions continue to increase significantly during the century—scientists project further warming of 2.4 to 6.4 Celsius degrees (4.3 to 11.5 Fahrenheit degrees) by the year 2100. For a scenario assuming lower emissions—in which emissions grow slowly, peak around the year 2050, and then fall—scientists project further warming of 1.1 to 2.9 Celsius degrees (1.9 to 5.2 Fahrenheit degrees) by the year 2100.

Melting polar ice and glaciers, as well as warming of the oceans, expands ocean volume and raises sea level, which will eventually flood some coastal regions and even entire islands. Patterns of rainfall are expected to change, with higher latitudes (closer to the poles) projected to receive more rainfall, and subtropical areas (such as the Mediterranean and southern Africa) projected to receive considerably less. Changes in temperature and precipitation patterns may damage food crops, disrupting food production in some parts of the world. Plant and animal species will shift their ranges toward the poles or to higher elevations seeking cooler temperatures, and species that cannot do so may become extinct. Increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere also leads to increased ocean acidity, damaging ocean ecosystems.

Human beings face global warming with a huge population at risk. The potential consequences are so great that many of the world’s leading scientists—and increasingly, politicians, business leaders, and other citizens—are calling for international cooperation and immediate action to counteract the problem.

Responding to the challenge of controlling global warming will require fundamental changes in energy production, transportation, industry, government policies, and development strategies around the world. These changes take time. The challenge today is managing the impacts that cannot be avoided while taking steps to prevent more severe impacts in the future.

Here Comes Another Chapter of Our 4th Year Life in High School

           Another grading period is about to end but as they say that when a door closes, a window opens. I enjoyed so much learning about those HTML Tags which is new to some of us and it was amazing to create such pages. Learning these things were so important to me because it helps me develop my skills in creating web pages using the notepad and applying HTML tags.
           It has been a common problem to us students to have no connection to the internet for sometimes because many of us share from it so the speed really is very low but still we enjoyed the experience of having it. In my other subjects, the same problem takes place with my projects. I am very glad to say that before these second grading period ends, I have already finished and pass all requirements to face the next grading period and knowing that I have learned so much in this ICT IV.
           Moving on, I will do my very best to make those post before meeting the deadline because making it before the deadline gives a better outcome to the post rather than rushing again which is not really good. But it is not only to my post that I will finish things before deadline but also my projects and other requirements in our other subjects for us to have a higher grade of course. That's all for the second grading and soon to come third grading.

Promoting Digital Literacy Through English Proficiency

          It is a fact that we are now all living in a modern world. Technologies have already started popping out from different companies who are continuously making them and is also continuously improving with features for man’s benefits.

          Well, digital literacy is the ability to organize, interpret, analyze and information using digital technology. Our digital literacy may increase if we are proficient enough in English subject because this language is widely used all over the world. If we would acquire more knowledge about English, we would easily understand how to use technologies through its instructional material and most important is that we can easily communicate with the people around the world through social websites.

          We can easily acquire knowledge for our English proficiency if we would encourage the reading of educational books and teach students about the language instead of wasting time for useless things. And if we are digitally literate, we can easily enter a job at a certain company for they need employees who are literate enough in using such technology and have good communication skills using English language. It means that we can have a better life if we are literate in these kinds of field.

          Digital literacy is also important for the language learning because we can also train ourselves through using technologies like computers and through those websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. We can learn so much from it.

          Promoting digital literacy is very important in our lives and with the use of our English proficiency so let us now all start enriching our knowledge for proficiency to promote our digital literacy to have a better coutry.

My Teacher My Hero

          Teachers as we all know are the people who teaches children or students in school and do consider as our second mother as they love us as their own children in our second home called school. They discipline us also the good way or even the best way to make us better persons. Because of these things, we consider them as our heroes.
          Our teachers are heroes because the do things that can change people's lives forever and also save us from taking the wrong direction of life. For us students, they do their best to make us understand on how the things came to be or teach us lessons to clarify questions lingering in our minds. They discipline us by sharing life experiences and by telling morals we should learn in life.Teachers also help us discover talents within us which makes us more confident in life. They do support and live us like our own mother and father do. In short, they do their very best to mold us the best shape we can be to have a better life int the future. In our country, teachers have a big role in making progressive countries for they are the ones making good and intelligent citizens who have the capabilities to make our country be uplifted through a brighter tomorrow. As countries grow more progressive, the world would also have a better outcome with the help of teachers whom we consider as heroes.
          We can truly say that teachers are heroes for the things they are continually doing for us students, for the country and also in the world. As heroes of our lives, we should whole kind-heartedly thank them. We can simply thank our teachers through our little ways like respecting and listening to their pieces of advice and by internalizing the lessons they give. We can also thank them by loving them back like our own parents as they love us like their own children.

CHEMERGY: Chemistry & Science Club in Synergy

         “Two is better than one.”

         Chemistry have done so much things already for the country and for all of us. So many things have been discovered with the help of it .Lots of things and medicines are being improved with the help of chemicals which is as part  of this study. But discoveries would be much faster with the help of science clubbing.

         To know more about this study, we should review its definition. Well, it shapes the way we humans understand the chemical composition, structure, properties of elements and substances.

If this chemistry and science club would combine, our country would become better. By the help of the knowledge of these science clubs, much ideas that will arise on how to improve the quality of life and also quality of materials using chemicals through combination.

         And if science club would be very active, results of hard work will be seen earlier. More results of teamwork between chemistry and science club would give a better outcome in our country and in the world.

         Invention of new technology using chemistry by the wide imagination of science clubs would be a great help towards modernization. Together with other fields of science, it has bough so many important applications that are being used in everyday living.

         Synergy does really big things that can greatly help us all. It does big changes and improvements in man’s benefit and life.

He Trully Is A Hero

          There are people in our lives whom we consider as a hero. This hero that we talk about is the person who had done big things for us. They might have saved us from sort of accidents or save us from sins. And I, myself consider God as my almighty hero.

          I do consider God as my hero because we know that He all saved us from sin that caused His death. As He watch us here on earth. He do continues to save us from danger if we only have great belief on Him. He is the savior of lives in this earth that we should thank about. God do loves us so He do does these things for us. He provides protection and food that may keep us from dying. And even in the most fatal diseases, He does the miracle to keep us alive. He also gives the life's challenges to make us a stronger person. So, I do consider Him as my hero, our savior because of all these things He had done for us. And we must thank Him always for each day He gives to us every time we wake up in the morning.

          I consider many heroes in my life but God is the mightiest of them all. He is truly a hero not just for me but for all of us living in this sinful world.

Reflecting on Experiences

          The very first thing that came into my mind when I heard about our subject TLE ICT IV is that it would be so challenging for me to learn the lessons.

          It is because students from the past school years told us that it will focus a lot on blogging and photoshops. I think I only have a few ideas about these kind of things but I also thought that we are in the school to learn such things as those. Though, we had already an idea about blogging when we are still in the third year of our high school together with Mrs. Abella and we learn a lot about that thing called blogging but it is still not my desire to do such things.

          And as the school days gone by, we have tackled some of the concepts covered by blogging, it advantages or its benefits to us and also some of the disanvantages of course. We are told that blogging do have many advantages and by that time, I am already starting to love posting blogs.

          During the first grading, we didn't have still a big problem because we are still in the beginning and we all know that Mrs. Vera Cruz is so patient that she will teach us the everything she could just to make us very courageous in conquering all problems in blogging that we may encounter and she's is doing a great job indeed. And by these experiences she is sharing to us, we are now being prepared how to solve such difficulties in the next days or years of our lives blogging with the computer.

          The best thing I have learned in this subject is that, it is not about achieving very high grades, instead, it is the knowledge and experiences that we are having to make us more great blogger of the internet. And we expect that as our senior life ends in this school year, we will be fully packed with knowledge about blogging through this TLE ICT IV and together with Mrs. Vera Cruz.
           Moving on, I will strive harder as I face the challenges that I may encounter in our subject TLE ICT IV and I will be more serious on my studies so that I would not create again the same mistakes that would cause my regret. I will surely do my best to reach my dreams in life and to be successful in the future.

Where Is This SONA Taking Us?

       

       State of the Nation Address is a speech where the current state of the country in every year is being delivered by the country's president every fourth Monday of July in Batasang Pambansa at the city of Quezon.

          Last July 25, 2011 is the day for our dearest president Mr. Benigno Aquino III to deliver his SONA. It was very successful delivery he had and received applause from the Filipinos.

         In his SONA, he discussed about the projects he had finished during his first year of ruling this country. He also revealed the controversies that are happening in some agencies like in the PAGCOR where one billion pesos worth of coffee were given to those employees. He also revealed the corruption of money by the politicians who forced the people to vote them to their positions in ARMM. He then shared the story of those housing projects he is conducting for those police officials. These are some of the things he stated during his delivery of his SONA, delivering the good things that the administration did and revelation of secrets of those departments and agencies and also those corrupt officials.

          I can say that our president did an excellent job during his first year of running the country because of the things he had done that solved some problems of our country. But even if he had done some of those things, I am still not convinced by the way he runs our country for there are still lots of poor people from everywhere who should be given extra amount of attention. Instead of finishing directly those big problems, why can he finish first the small problems of out country to make the job easier. He should also do double time doing his projects or plans to give and show immediate results that our Filipino people are dying for.

         I know that Mr. President have the guts to do his duty in a very good way serving the Filipinos. I believe that he can do better than what he had finished now and there are still five more years to do the magic through development of our country.

BREASTFEEDING IS BEST FOR BABIES

          
         Babies are very precious to their mommies and that's why they should have proper nutrition to become healthy, active and bright.

         This month of July, we are to celebrate the nutrition month with the theme, "Isulong Breastfeeding, Tama, Sapat, at Eksklusibo!"

         From the theme, we can say that mainly it is all about the giving of breastfeeding to babies to promote good nutrition.

         Mommies do have really great role in promoting good nutrition their babies through breastfeeding. They should learn the proper ways to maintain good production of good milk to satisfy and fulfill the needs of babies to grow healthy and strong.

         Based on studies, breastmilk is full of vitamins and minerals that is essential to babies and to have good production of it, mothers should eat healthy and avoid vices that may affect their breastmilk. There are also breast massages to keep the circulation of the milk. Mommies can also attend lectures on how to breastfeed their babies in the proper way. Others may also inform other mommies that commercial milk is not as good as the natural milkfrom mothers and avoid feeding their babies with the milk of animals because it may affect the attitude of their growing babies.

         Breastfeeding top have a very big role on the growth of babies so it should be informed to all mother to keep nutrition of their babies.

TO A LEADER

Dear Mr. President,

         Greetings sir!!

         First of all sir, I would like to congratulate you for a job well done on solving some of the problems of the Philippines. It is also good to know that you are doing your best to clean up the mess of the past government employees.

         But as we all see it, as a problem is being solved, another problem comes along. And through our suggestions, we may help slow down or even eliminate some problems of our country. Some common problems of our country are corruption, lack of occupations, bad quality of education in some places, and poverty. In general, these problems do are related to money.

         These problems do have probable solutions of course! I suggest that the first thing to do is to kill all crocodiles in the government who puts budget for projects to their pockets. To make this move, they should be challenged by giving the the right amount of budget for their projects and the challenge there is that haw those government employees stretch that budget to make that simple project successful and the remaining money will be used to other more projects that could give people work/occupation.

         To solve also the problem in the bad quality of education is that school rules and regulations should be strictly implemented because destruction of school properties such as books may lead to absence of educational materials that the next students who would use it. And if we have good quality of education, we may produce intelligent people who are able to work in abroad and help fight poverty.

         Sir, I know that we are just students but we are your boss and helpers to make our country more progressive than some other countries in the world and I know that of we all help each other, we can attain that goal.

          Let us be your inspiration and may God lead you to the straight path and be blessed always because I do believe that you can do it sir, you can! :)
